After more than a decade of releasing Mi-branded products, Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has discontinued the popular Mi Monica. Mi brand products will no longer be on the market. The company is currently releasing products under its own brand name. That is Xiaomi.
According to a recent report by XDA developer, Xiaomi Will no longer use the Mi brand in the product.. The company began practicing with the launch of the latest Mix4 smartphone, called the Xiaomi Mix4, instead of the Mi Mix4.
The Chinese giant has recently made some changes in terms of brand and product naming. I’ve seen Xiaomi announce a new brand logo and brand identity earlier this year. Currently, Xiaomi has removed the super-popular Mi Monica from its product line.
For those who don’t know, with the exception of smartphones, Xiaomi has launched a bunch of Mi-branded products over the years in smart homes, lifestyles, robotics, and more categories. However, as the company has become the largest smartphone maker in the world in particular, it plans to use Xiaomi Monica in its products so that customers can associate it with their brand name.
The company sells its products under its own name in China and has already abolished the Mi brand of its products in its own country. Therefore, with this change, the company aims to simplify its product naming strategy in the global market.
Now, it’s worth mentioning that the company hasn’t renamed products launched under the Mi brand. The company’s future products will come with Xiaomi Monica instead of Mi.
