After India’s incredible performance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has announced that it will present the Mi 11 Ultra to each Indian athlete who has won a medal at a global event. The company will present flagship devices to athletes such as Niraji Chopra, Mirabaichanu, Rabbi Kumar Dahiya and PV Sindhu as a good faith gesture for this year’s Olympic performance.

The announcement came from Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi’s Global VP and Managing Director of India. Xiaomi’s head went to Twitter to announce his certificate on Sunday and thanked the Indian athlete who won the medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Check out the tweet attached just below.

So, according to Jain, Xiaomi “Small gesture of gratitude”Presents its high-end flagship device, the Mi 11 Ultra, to Neeraj Chopra. Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal at the Olympic Games with a javelin throw of about 88m. Besides him, the company will present the Mi 11 Ultra unit to other Indian athletes such as Lovlia Borgohain and Bajrang Punia.

The Mi 11 Ultra is Xiaomi’s advanced flagship smartphone launched in India earlier this year. It comes with a 6.81 inch 120Hz display, Snapdragon 888 SoC, triple camera setup, and many other top features. However, the device’s USP is a secondary 1.1-inch display integrated within the smartphone’s rear camera module.

In addition, Jain has announced that each of the Indian men’s hockey team members who won the bronze medal in the performance will be presented with a Mi 11X (instead of the Mi 11 Ultra). “This is a thank you for making our dreams come true and bringing tears of joy and happiness to 1.3 billion people.” Manukumarjain writes in a Facebook post. “Your performance will definitely motivate young children. You are proud of us.” He added further.
