
Just a month after announcing the OnePlus Nord CE, the Chinese giant is now preparing for the launch of yet another Nord smartphone. Yes, the long-awaited OnePlus Nord 25G is officially confirmed today. Not only that, I also learned the chipset that powers this smartphone.
Surprisingly, OnePlus today confirmed that the next flagship killer device will be called the Nord 25G. The official tweet didn’t reveal the release date, it just labeled the device “coming soon.” It will arrive in July.

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be exclusively for Amazon in India. The company has already set up its own landing page. Make sure the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI chipset powers the device. OnePlus Nord 25G “The first OnePlus smartphone with a MediaTek chipset.”
Now, as you may be wondering, how does the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI chip differ from the standard Dimensity 1200? Now, OnePlus (now integrated with Oppo) says it will use a customized version of the Dimensity 1200 with enhanced AI on the Nord 25G.
OnePlus details some of these AI extensions in its official press release. The Nord 25G camera Supports AI color enhancementYou will be able to recognize 22 different scenes and adjust the colors accordingly. The device also supports AI Color Boost and AIR resolution Boost technologies, providing HDR and upscaled video resolutions for specific apps, respectively. OnePlus Nord 2 5G: Specifications (rumors)
In terms of specifications, the Nord 2 5G may feature a 6.43 inch 90Hz AMOLED panel with a punched selfie camera on the front. The rear boasts a triple camera setup similar to the OnePlus 9 series.It is included 50MP Sony IMX766 Primary sensor, 8MP ultra wide-angle lens (probably), and 2MP macro lens. In addition, it has a larger 4,500mAh battery and an Android 11-based OxygenOS (not ColorOS, as some fear).
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G is similar to the recently launched OnePlus 9 series. When officially launched later this month, it can be called the OnePlus 9 Lite. Therefore, stay tuned for more details.
