Microsoft has recently begun informing users of the Windows Insider Program that future Windows 11 builds on the development channel are likely to be less stable. For some users, the option to switch to beta channel in Windows 11 is grayed out. As a result, insiders are trapped in the development channel without the options needed to switch to the beta channel.
The report also suggests an old trick to switch insider channels by manually changing the insider channel through the Windows Registry feature. In that case, Microsoft is switching the Dev channel to the Release Preview channel instead of the Insider Beta channel. So, if you are facing a similar problem, unfortunately there is no solution to this at this time.
