
After launching the Realme 8 series with advanced cameras and large batteries earlier this year, Realme is now preparing to launch two new devices under the series. The company, called Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i, will launch these devices at a virtual event in India on September 9th. These devices feature MediaTek processors, 120Hz displays, and other state-of-the-art technologies. Now let’s take a look at some of the specs and features expected for future Realme devices.
Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8 launched in India
Currently, both Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i designs are being leaked online prior to their official launch. You can see the rendering of both devices attached below (provided by OnLeaks). Beyond that, there is also a general idea of ββthe expected specifications and features.
Starting with Realme 8s 5G, this device will be the first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, the 5G-enabled chipset announced last month. It is an octa-core processor and is built using a 6nm process. The Realme 8i, on the other hand, is powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 processor.

According to reports, the Dimensity 810 chipset in Realme 8s 5G is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, while Realme 8i includes 4GB of RAM and 1258GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Both Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i will be powered by the company’s Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRE) technology. This allows the device to virtually expand RAM by allocating extra space from the internal ROM.
As for the display, the Realme 8s 5G will come with a 6.5-inch Full-HD + display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate, and the Realme 8i will have a 6.59-inch Full-HD + panel that supports 120Hz. Refresh rate. As for the camera, the 8s is rumored to have a triple camera setup with a primary 64MP sensor on the back. Realme 8i also has a triple camera setup that includes a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, you would expect a 16MP punchhole camera on the front of both devices.

Looking at the battery, it is expected that both Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i will be packed. 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.. These devices also feature a USB-C port for charging and data transfer and a 3.5mm audio jack. Both devices are expected to run Realme UI 2.0, which is based on Android 11, as-is.
