Raptic Tactical Wallet and Link + Lock: Make AirTag Smarter

Rate this post

Apple’s AirTag helps protect our belongings, but what we can do is provide a nice, comfortable, cushioned home. And what if the house (reading the case) could diversify AirTag’s capabilities? Isn’t it icing on the cake? Now, Raptic’s Tactical Wallet and Link + Lock do just that!

Scroll down to see a detailed review and introduction to some of the great AirTag multi-utility cases. I know these accessories aren’t cases, but they do include AirTag. So the right case and pun is intended.

Well-named Raptic Tactical wallets boast a very tactile look. It boasts an 8-in-1 stainless steel multi-tool top, soft genuine leather on the back and smooth matte polycarbonate edges.

It’s also pretty great in terms of capacity. Besides safe storage of AirTag, a practical wallet can hold up to 4 or 2 cards and folded banknotes.

Design that reflects experience

The card slot is very smooth. And you will have to pull to get rid of the card. Thankfully, they never deviate from their own unity. Another notable feature is the AirTag holder that securely locks your Bluetooth tracker.

It will not fall while you are removing cash or cards from your wallet. In fact, if you ask me, I need to pressure to remove the AirTag, which is the masterstroke of the design element.

Detachable multi-tool

If you want to have some simple tools at hand, this will be a great addition to your arsenal. It boasts a total of eight tools.

  • Minus driver
  • Phillips driver
  • Box / letter opener
  • Pry open the bat
  • Bottle opener
  • Hex wrench (5-10mm)
  • Inch ruler (in 1/4 inch increments)

Surprisingly, everything from sharpness to placement is very accurate. So it does what it promises.

What did I like (and didn’t like)?

To be honest, I was amazed at the mechanical accuracy. Whether you’re modifying AirTag or unlocking / locking the multi-tool, there’s a smooth rhythm.

Yes, it may be a little difficult to remove the tool at first, but once you get the hang of it, you can sail smoothly. Keep in mind; some edges are sharp! Therefore, be careful with the tools. Don’t let your kids or clumsy friends play the tool.

The polycarbonate lining lifts your lips to prevent direct impact on your hands and pockets when putting in and out of your wallet. However, I felt that the Philips driver in the upper right corner could be hurt if not handled carefully.

So that’s one flaw. And I liked the whole wallet, but the leather finish isn’t up to date. It didn’t feel as elegant as some other leather purses that came my way. In addition, the wallet weighs 0.20 lbs, and with the addition of the card and AirTag, it’s a heavy package.

A heavenly blessing for travelers, commuters, hikers, and many. Raptic Link + Lock provides a smart and secure solution for attaching AirTag to a variety of objects, bags, bottles, bicycles and more.

It also differs from other AirTag accessories in that it has an integrated combination lock. Interestingly, locking works in two ways.

  • Lock the carabiner to any object – No one can remove it from yours without knowing the exact combination.
  • Lock Airtag in place – AirTags cannot be removed unless the carabiner is unlocked. Therefore, the tracker is safe from falling or theft.

Raptic uses solid cast iron zinc to build a carabiner for the shell and durable polycarbonate. The result is not only an elegant look, but also sturdy and durable.

The mechanism is super cool

Unlocking the carabiner allows you to extrude a circular shell. Then twist and open the shell cap, insert the AirTag, twist to lock the shell and put it back in the carabiner. That’s it; AirTag is set.

The process is very simple and you can find the markings where you need them. So it’s easy to assemble for 10 or 100 years.

What did I like (and didn’t like)?

Again, I’m a fan of mechanics and the ideas that will go into it. But I have some bones to choose from. First, you can insert an AirTag only if the battery edge is visible.

The Apple logo looks great, but my special emoji and initials are hidden. In addition, the silver surface is a fingerprint magnet. Next, the opening of the carabiner is slightly off. Instead of pushing in, you need to pull out the gate.

This is unusual and should be noted as the release button is located on the outer edge. In addition, the gates do not line up smoothly when relocked. You may need to move a little to set it to lock.

In addition, it boasts a high price. The $ 40 carabiner has a combination lock and is a bit expensive, even if you want to carry your AirTag efficiently.

Has Raptic succeeded in making AirTag smarter?

absolutely! Both LINK + LOCK and Tactical Wallet are smart and effectively designed. The brand pays close attention to details such as the carabiner locking mechanism and the raised lips of the wallet.

There are some minor issues, but most of them are accidental. And once you get the hang of it, everything will be able to sail smoothly. So if you’re looking for some interesting ways to use AirTag, Raptics’ LINK + LOCK and Tactical Wallet may be the best options.
