Google has launched its fourth Android 12 beta today. Among other changes such as the Android 12 Easter Egg and recent quick image sharing from the app screen, the beta also comes with an updated Google app.And well, Google camera modder cstark27 analyzed new gaps and discovered strings Implying Pixel 6’s new Samsung sensor and Exynos modem..
Pixel 6 may be equipped with Samsung 50MP ISO CELL GN1 sensor
Based on previous leaks, we already knew that the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro could have a 50MP primary sensor. In the latest Gcam app, cstark27 has detected the string “gn1_wide_p21”. Probably a reference to Samsung’s 50MP ISO CELLGN1 sensor..
One of the key advantages of Samsung Sensors is that they can provide them. DSLR level autofocus speed.. I’ve seen phones with this sensor, like the Vivo X60 Pro +.

This is an important step from the 12.2MP Sony IMX363 sensor that Google has been using on Pixel smartphones for many years, but it’s unclear if this means the termination of the Sony IMX sensor in the Pixel lineup. Looking back at the company’s history, Google may be planning to stick to the Samsung sensor for a future Pixel flagship with the Google Tensor chip.
Digging into another google app, cstark27 found a reference to Samsung Exynos 5123 Modem.. According to the tweet, the modem “g5123b” refers to five devices: Oriole (Pixel 6), Raven (Pixel 6 Pro), Passport (Pixel Fold) and Slider (currently unknown).
Oriole, Raven, Passport and “Slider” are four of the five devices with modems referred to as “g5123b”. The latest Samsung Exynos (“shannon”) modem is the 5123A. Currently I can’t see the last one.
