
Last week, Chinese giant Oppo confirmed plans to announce a ColorOS 12 skin based on Android 12 later this month. The company shared high-quality wallpapers that will come with future Android 12-based operating systems, but Oppo didn’t reveal the official release date for ColorOS 12, but today the company shared details and an event. Confirmed to announce ColorOS 12 on September 16th in China.
Oppo recently updated its official ColorOS website in China to reflect its plans to release ColorOS 12 in China. Therefore, according to the updated website, the launch event is set at 18:00 local time on September 16th. This corresponds to 3:30 pm in India.
Future ColorOS skins Codename “Da Vinci” The company wanted to pay tribute to one of the most skilled human beings in history in terms of art, technology and science. In addition, ColorOS 12 will add some new features to compatible smartphones, including a Samsung DeX-like feature called Cross-Screen Interconnection.
This feature is said to be similar to Huawei’s multi-screen collaboration or Microsoft’s Your Phone integration. This allows the user to mirror the screen of the smartphone to an external display and control various functions. In addition, ColorOS 12 skins are reported to support all types of devices, from smartphones to tablets to smartwatches.

Well, it’s worth mentioning that Oppo doesn’t currently offer tablet devices. Therefore, this also supports the company’s plans to launch tablets to participate in Realme, Xiaomi and others in the tablet segment.
Besides Oppo smartphones, China’s OnePlus devices also run the following ColorOS 12 skins based on Android 12. In addition, the OS includes MIUI from Xiaomi, Smartisan OS, and Flyme OS from Meizu.
