Motorola launched the MotoEdge 20 series in the global market at the end of last month and, as promised, launched the series in India today. The company owned by Lenovo did not release the Edge 20 Pro in India, but with the launch of the vanilla Moto Edge 20, the Moto Edge 20 Lite has been renamed as the Moto Edge 20 Fusion.
So, before moving on to device pricing and availability, let’s take a look at some of the key specifications and features of India’s new Motorola device.

Moto Edge 20, Moto Edge 20 Fusion released in India
Moto Edge 20
According to the company, it is “the slimmest 5G smartphone in India” with a thickness of 6.9 mm from the standard Moto Edge 20. It comes with a 6.7-inch Full HD + OLED panel and supports a refresh rate of 144Hz and a touch response rate of 576Hz. It also supports DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10 +, and 10-bit color for an immersive viewing experience. In addition, there is a punch hole cutout in the top center for the 32MP selfie shooter.
Speaking of optics, this device comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 108MP primary lens. There are also 16MP ultra-wide-angle lenses and 8MP telephoto lenses with 3x optical zoom and 30x super zoom capabilities.
Internally, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. This is the company’s 5G-enabled chipset for premium midrange devices. It integrates an Adreno 642L GPU and is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
There is also an internal 4,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. According to Motorola, a 10-minute charge can achieve up to 8 hours of battery life.
In addition to these, smartphones support 5G networks, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, and NFC capabilities. In addition, there is a USB-C port at the bottom for charging and data transfer. The device comes in two colors, Frost Pearl and Frost Emerald, and runs Android 11 based MyUX skins. This is a near-stock version of Android and is ready to use.
Moto Edge 20 Fusion
The low-end Moto Edge 20 Fusion has the same specifications and features as the global version. However, there are significant changes to the rebranded Moto Edge 20 Lite. We’ll talk about this later in the article.
So, starting with the display, the Moto Edge 20 Fusion boasts a 6.7-inch Full HD + OLED panel that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. There is also a punched hole cutout in the top center for storing 32MP selfie snappers.
On the back is a triple camera setup with the same 108MP primary lens as my brother. However, instead of the Moto Edge 20’s 16MP and 8MP sensors, the Edge 20 Fusion has an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor.
Currently, the difference between the Moto Edge 20 Lite and the India-centric Moto Edge 20 Fusion lies in the processor. The global variant includes the MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC, while the Moto Edge 20 Fusion comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset. Combined with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The device also has a 5,000mAH battery, which is larger than the vanilla Moto Edge 20. It also comes with 30W fast charging support to quickly charge your device. The device has two color options, Cyber Teal and Electric Graphite, so you can run MyUX skins based on Android 11 right away.
