
Xiaomi is also trying to dominate the laptop segment in India. After recently launching the Redmibook 15 series in the country, the Chinese giant has announced two premium Mi Notebook products. The Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Ultra were officially announced at the “Smarter Living 2022” event. Mi Notebook Ultra: Specifications
This laptop is Xiaomi’s most premium product in India to date. The Mi Notebook Ultra has a thin and light unibody aluminum design. The laptop is only 17.9 mm thick and weighs 1.7 kg. And of course, the design (including the Mi Notebook Pro) seems to be inspired by the Apple MacBook Pro.
The highlight of the Mi Notebook Ultra should be its stunning display.device Includes 15.6-inch 3.2 KIPS LCD display Aspect ratio 16:10, resolution 3200 x 2000p. The panel here is 90Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB color gamut, DC dimming, hardware based blue light filter etc. This is probably the best display Xiaomi has ever built into one of India’s laptops (unlike the latest Redmibook 15).
Internally, both Mi Notebook Ultra and Pro are powered by up to 11 generations of Intel Core i7-11370H processors. It also has up to 16GB of 3200MHz RAM and 512GB of NVMe SSD. This laptop also includes Intel Iris Xe graphics, in contrast to Nvidia’s MX450 GPU, which is available on the same model in China.
For I / O ports and connection options, there is a USB-A port and a 3.5mm audio jack on the right. On the far left, it includes a USB-C port with PD, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB Type-A port, and an HDMI 1.4 port. Mi Notebook Ultra will soon support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
Finally, let’s talk about battery and charging details. With a 70Wh battery pack here, Xiaomi promises up to 12 hours of battery backup on a single charge. The Mi Notebook Ultra supports 65W fast charging via the onboard USB-C port. This laptop will run Windows 10 out of the box and will get a free upgrade to Windows 11 when it is released in October this year.
Apart from all this, the Mi Notebook Ultra has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button, 2 x 2W stereo speakers, and a backlit keyboard. Yes, unlike the Redmibook, Xiaomi offers a 3-level backlit keyboard with 1.5mm key travel on the Mi Notebook.
Mi Notebook Pro: Specifications
There is only a slight difference between the Mi Notebook Pro model and the Ultra model. The Pro variant is slightly thinner (1.4 kg) than the Ultra brothers, at 17.3 mm. Instead of a 3.2K display, the Mi Notebook Pro Small 14-inch 2.5K QHD + display It supports 100% sRGB color gamut, 2560 x 1600p resolution, and brightness of up to 300 knits.
Apart from this, Xiaomi promises up to 11 hours of battery life, as opposed to the Ultra variant’s 12-hour battery backup. Both laptops support 65W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.
Otherwise, both models have the same 11th generation Intel Core H35 chip, up to 16GB of 3200MHz RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD, and more. It also features an aluminum chassis, the same set of I / O ports, and a fingerprint reader for the power button, so you can run Windows 10 Home right away.
