After increasing the reel length from 15 seconds to 30 seconds last September, Instagram now allows creators to upload clips up to 60 seconds to the reels. The extension will occur when Instagram publicly acknowledges that it is no longer a photo sharing app.
Create a 60 second reel on Instagram
Instagram announced it Creators can now record 60 second reels Through a Twitter handle using the Galaxy Brain Meme dating back to 2017. You can see the following announcement tweets, but to be honest, there aren’t many that appear there.

To create a reel longer than 30 seconds, you need to do the following: Please set the video length before you start recording.. To do this, swipe right on the feed to open the Reels recording interface. Then tap the down arrow on the left or right side of the screen to see all available options.
After expanding the menu, Tap the “Length” option twice.. If you have already recorded the reel in 30 seconds,[長さ]Tap the button once and it will work. You can now record a 60 second Instagram reel as shown below.Whenever you change your mind[長さ]You can tap the button again to switch between 15 seconds, 30 seconds, or 60 seconds.
While Reels has extended the video length to 60 seconds, which is good news for creators, TikTok now allows users to upload videos up to 3 minutes long. It will be interesting to see if Instagram will further increase Lille’s video time limit in the coming months.
