
Putting an end to the endless stream of leaks and rumors, Huawei today announced the launch date for the Huawei P50 series. It is the successor to the Huawei P40 series and comes with a large camera module, Kirin 9000 SoC, and other premium features.

The Chinese giant took him to Weibo to make an announcement. According to official teaser images, the Huawei P50 series will be available in China next week at 7:30 pm local time.

The sensor is reported to have a resolution of 50MP and a RYYB color filter. However, this sensor is only available on Pro and Pro + variants. The vanilla P50 reportedly has an inferior Sony IMX707 sensor for the primary camera.
According to a recent leak, the Huawei P50 comes with a triple camera setup that includes a Sony IMX707 sensor, a Sony IMX600 sensor, and a 3x telephoto camera. Meanwhile, the P50 Pro is reported to include a quad camera array with an IMX800 sensor, an OV64A OmniVision camera, a 5x periscope camera, and a ToF (time-of-flight) sensor.
