2022 Mac roadmap leaked
German suggests that Apple will soon launch next-generation M2 chipsThis can have Max and Pro variants, similar to what happened on the 1st generation M1 chips.
The M2 chip is likely to power the rumored MacBook Air and entry-level MacBook Pro. This is inconsistent with what we have heard before. Remember, the redesigned MacBook Air was previously expected to come with an M1 chip.
There are also Mac Minis and Mac Pros, both with M2 chips. Chip details aren’t available yet, but with a 10-core GPU, you can significantly improve performance and efficiency.
Apple is also expected Launched 14-inch and 16-inch variations of the MacBook Pro, M2 Pro and M2 Max chips may be installed. Apple M2 Max Silicon has 12 CPU cores and 38 GPU cores. There isn’t much information about the M2 Pro, but Gurman hints that it’s also powering the Mac Mini.
In addition, the new Mac Pro is also on the card, and may have a successor to the M1 Ultra, which may be called the M2 Ultra. However, nothing is said about the new iMac model.
These new Macs will be introduced throughout the year. So don’t expect Apple to launch them all at once. Currently, nothing has been announced on the launch timeline. We still don’t know what these 2022 Macs will look like. Stay tuned for more details, be it rumored or official. Also, let us know what you think about this leak in the comments below.
