Check out the minimum system requirements for Far Cry 6

After some delays and leaks, Ubisoft has officially confirmed that the long-awaited title Far Cry 6 will be released on October 7, this year. Currently, prior to the release of the game, the company has identified the minimum, recommended, and ultimate system requirements for playing titles on PC. Now let’s take a look at what you need to run the game on your PC or laptop.

Now, as expected, Far Cry 6 supports all the latest technologies such as DirectX 12 Ultimate, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and ray tracing. However, it’s worth mentioning that you don’t need these on your PC to play the title with the minimum settings.

Far Cry 6 system requirements

Therefore, Ubisoft recommends at least AMD Ryzen 3 1200 CPU or Intel Core i5-4460 processor as the minimum system requirements to play Far Cry 6 at 1080p and 30FPS. The minimum GPU requirements are AMD Radeon RX 460 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 960. It also requires 4GB of VRAM, 8GB of RAM (dual channel setup recommended), and at least 60GB of internal storage. In addition, you must be running at least 64-bit Windows 10 to play the game on your system.

When you reach the recommended requirements for playing games at 1440p at 60FPS, you will need an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel Core i7-9700 processor. The minimum GPU requirements to run the game with these settings are AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super. It also requires 8GB of VRAM, 16GB of RAM, and 60GB of internal storage.

Now, the ultimate setting to allow Far Cry 6 to run at 4K30FPS requires at least the AMD Ryzen 7 3700 or Intel Core i7-9700 processor to be locked. In addition, your graphics processing needs require at least the AMD Radeon RX 6800 or Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080. In addition, running the title in 4K requires 10GB of VRAM and 16GB of RAM. This setting also allows you to enjoy ray tracing features for immersive graphics performance.

The game will be released next month, but Ubisoft had previously confirmed that some of the gameplay elements were missing at the time of release. In addition, the developers also state that, unlike other franchise titles, Far Cry 6 is not limited to first-person theater. Players experience a third-person view at certain moments in the game, especially when the main character, Dani Rojas, participates in the battle.

At launch, Far Cry 6 will be playable on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna. Therefore, if you have been waiting for this title to play on your PC, start the upgrade to match the recommended settings for your immersive gaming experience.
