So far, we didn’t know when the new MacBook Pro would be available, as WWDC wouldn’t get in the way.As a new report from, it will change now DigiTimes (via MacRumors) Is Apple may launch a new MacBook Pro model in September Along with the iPhone 13 series.
M1X MacBook Pro alongside September iPhone 13
According to the report, Apple is currently expanding production of mini LED displays for the next M1X MacBook Pro. In addition, the report claims that Apple is likely to announce a new MacBook Pro unit later in the third quarter of this year. The third quarter is July-September, and Apple usually launches a new iPhone in September, so it’s safe to assume that the event could feature both a new iPhone and a MacBook.
DigiTimes also claims that it can expect maximum shipments of the new M1X MacBook Pro in October. Apple will unveil 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros at the event and may begin shipping in October. This is the same as the company did with the new 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro with a mini LED display and 5G connectivity.
The new report is consistent with Mark Gurman’s newsletter last month, saying he’s unlikely to hear news of new products from Apple over the next few weeks. In the same newsletter, Gurman hinted at the potential of the iPad with a larger display in the future. However, a global chip shortage can delay the launch timeline, so take this new report with a grain of salt.
