The update for Minecraft 1.19 is about to begin and is already highly regarded in the community. Aiming to meet the demands of all players, it brings a new biome to Minecraft, bringing a high level of equivalence between new mobs and Minecraft Java and Bedrock. But the most important innovation in this update comes in the form of Allay, the winner of the Minecraft mob fan vote. Allay is a new mob that acts as a friend and collects player items. Not only that, he upgrades many of the existing in-game mechanics, such as music and pillars. However, it can be difficult to track all future features unless you follow all Minecraft beta releases. So here’s everything you need to know about Minecraft 1.19 Allay, how it works, where it’s located, and what to do with Allay. Let’s dive right away.

Minecraft Allay Mob: Detailed explanation (March 2022)
The guide has been split into separate sections for clarity. Each section focuses on various aspects related to this new Minecraft 1.19 mob. You can conveniently explore each of these sections using the table below.
Note: Our observations are based on the latest Minecraft 1.18.30.22 / 23 beta. This is the first appearance of the beta version of Allay and features are subject to change in the official release.
What are Minecraft alleys?
First announced at Minecraft Live 2021, Allay was part of the 1.19 Wild update mob fan poll. The community was given the opportunity to choose a new mob for the next update, and Allay won. Condolences to Copper Golem and its fandom. But going on, Allay is a passive fairy-like mob Select a specific item and collect a copy of it For players across the loaded chunks.

Allay is similar in size to a Minecraft bee, but can fly at much higher heights. Unlike existing mobs, Allay is not associated with any particular Minecraft biome. In addition, it does not interact with in-game mobs other than the player. Even hostile mobs like zombies and creepers don’t care about Allay’s presence.
Where to find alleys in Minecraft
In Minecraft’s creative game mode, you can use spawn eggs to meet Allay. Read the dedicated guide on how to get Allay in Minecraft before release to learn how to spawn this mob in creative mode. For its natural spawning, you can find Allay in the following locations:
- Pilargar Outpost
- Woodland Mansion
The official release of Minecraft 1.19 will probably have more locations added in April or May. However, as of March 2022, there is no confirmation. So for now, let’s explore these existing locations and tell us where to find Allay in the Minecraft world.
Pillage Outpost
Like an iron golem, Ally is trapped and spawned in a wooden cage created around the Pilger Outpost. Each cage is maximum 3 alleys at the same time. You must break the structure of the tree to help Allay escape. Once released, Allay will begin wandering until it finds the dropped item.

But be sure to avoid or kill the Pillers before jumping to the ib to rescue your allies. Each outpost can have up to 12 pillars that are hostile to villagers and players. Unless you have the best Minecraft enchantments, they can overwhelm you and kill you within minutes.
Woodland Mansion
The mansion is one of the most dangerous structures in the game. They are home to hostile mobs such as zombies, creepers, vindicators and pillars. But with such a high stake, the treasures of the mansion are also impressive. Various hidden and exposed rooms span three floors, each with its own unique features.

There is a large cage room in the mansion, usually on the ground floor. There are four cobblestone cages, each trapped in three alleys. You can use the lever on the outside of the cage to open the door and open the alley. So, in one mansion, you can get 12 alleys All at once.
What does Allay do with Minecraft
The only function of Allay in Minecraft is to collect items. Select a specific item and look for its copy across the loaded chunks. Allay can collect items in the following situations:
- If Allay notices that an item has been dropped nearby, it will pick up the dropped item. Allay then returns the item to a nearby player and begins looking for a copy of it.
- In addition to dropped items, Allay can also accept items from players. Keep the original item and look for a copy of it, but come back to the player.
- Finally, it tries to select a randomly thrown item and return it to the owner.
Alleys and note blocks
Note Blocks are Minecraft wooden blocks that play music in the game. Minecraft alleys are attracted to these note blocks. When Allay hears music playing from the note block, instead of looking for a player, it drops all the collected items next to the note block.

But that doesn’t always work. Allay has a specific NoteBlock 30 seconds I play music. After that time, ignore the same note block until you play the music again. You can create a Redstone machine to keep your music playing for a long time.
Use of alleys
Now that we know how it works, it’s pretty clear how to use Allay. Here are some of our ideas:
- Allay can fully automate the farm collection system and make it much faster, without the need for complex Redstone mechanisms.
- You can also create an automatic sorting system to collect similar items in the same area or chest.
- Allay’s group helps you quickly collect items after exploding and killing a mob.
- Allay can also hold up to 64 stackable items at a time, so it can also be used as a portable storage option.
- You can use Allay to find lost or accidentally dropped items in the loaded chunks. However, you need a duplicate copy of the item.

Basic properties of AllayMob
Now that you have a general idea of Allay and its abilities, you need to understand the in-game properties. Please note that all of these are subject to change in the official release.
Health and attack
Like most peaceful little mobs, Allay doesn’t have much health. You can kill it 2 hits of diamond sword Or four hits with an iron sword. They can also suffocate in blocks, stay in water for extended periods of time, or die from fire damage. Allay is always floating, regardless of height, so it can’t do fall damage.
When it comes to attacks, Minecraft for Allay doesn’t have an attack mechanism. Escape only when attacked. But if you throw an item to the ground or play music, it will come back soon.
Mob interaction
At this point, all other mobs do not seem to be disturbed by Allay’s presence. Hostile mobs generally do not attack it. The only mob to attack Allay in Minecraft is Wither, who tries to kill all the mobs in the area. So mobs like cute fairies are no exception.
Luminous
Thanks to its unique color, Allay stands out in almost every biome during the day. But they are even easier to find at night. Each Allay emits a minimal amount of light. This is not enough to illuminate the surrounding area, but it does shine. Their light levels resemble the eyes of distant torches and spiders in the dark.

If you’re just exploring Minecraft home ideas, Allay can act as a unique and beautiful light source. Make sure they don’t accidentally start stealing your building materials.
Collecting and stacking items
If you can place an item on top of an existing item, you can stack it in Allay’s inventory as well as in the inventory stack. This also applies to various items such as diamonds and building blocks. However, if a non-stackable item, such as armor, is in Allay’s inventory, drop a nearby item or note block before looking for the next item.

There are exciting animations and mechanics when it comes to item drops. Instead of dropping the stack. It showers each item in its stack individually to the player or note block. Allay can easily pick up a stack of items, but can only throw one item.
Meet Allay on Minecraft 1.19 before release
Allay is part of the Minecraft 1.18.30.22 / 23 beta release and users can enjoy it in Bedrock edition and Minecraft preview. There is already a dedicated guide on how to get Allay out of the box on Minecraft. Please check from the attached link. Prior to the official release of the Wild Update, Use can interact with this mob and test everything detailed above.
Allay is now available in Minecraft 1.19
Allay sends news to the Minecraft community with cute flights, fairy wings and a unique look. Players around the world have been waiting for this long-awaited mob and arrived with a wild update. And now they can’t calm their existence. And that’s all for the right reason. But if the friendly mob doesn’t suit your adventure style, you can also meet Warden in Minecraft Beta. For those who don’t know, Warden is the exact opposite of Allay, as most players can’t survive the most horrifying Minecraft mob. Without a night-vision potion, you can’t even escape Warden, let alone fight it. That said, there’s a lot you can do with the in-game Allay. Do you have an idea? Let us know in the comments below!
